Lydia C. Filzen presents
       Foxfire Collies

Ch. Foxfire Velocity, HT, NAP, OJP, FNP

Raven is our latest champion, finishing in grand style with three 4-point majors. Our good friend Paula Clairday handled her to her finishing 4-pointer at Ocala.
She sees herself as quite the athlete as she vaults over the living room furniture.
Raven likes the sheepies as well, having acquired her Herding Tested title at the Collie Club of America retional herding trial.
Raven and Chloe are littermates by Ch. Talans Rtwo, AX, AXJ, FN, RN ex Bradfords Foxfire Intensity, NA, OJP

Ch. Foxfire Surprise Party

Chloe started her career by taking BOS over specials at her first show, Greater Jacksonville Collie Club under Jackie Corwin at just six months of age. She also won the puppy Sweepstakes the same day, judged by Kathye Walker. She just finished her championship under judge Ed McNamee!.
Chloe is the proud mother of a litter of four babies, born July 7, 2010, sired by Ch. Oak Leaf Just Between Friends.

Ch. Stornoway's Wild Abandon

Putter won a Herding Group 2 at just seven months of age, finished her championship in grand style with a couple of Best of Varieties over specials!  Since then she has been racking up BV wins and more group placements.
Putter has also shown her star power at the specialties. She went BOS under Marcia Keller at the Jacksonville specialty, and Best of Variety at the Tampa Collie specialty.

Ch. Stornoway's Makin' Waves

Duffy Sue finished with a 4 point major at the Atlanta specialty under Marily Busse.
Duffy Sue is a littermate to Putter, pictured above. Both girls are usually handled by co-breeder/owner, Paula Clairday.

Puter and Duffy Sue are by Ch. Accolade's I'm Xactly What You Want ex Foxfire Cafe Mocha, and were bred by Paula Clairday and Lydia Filzen

Ch. Talans Rtwo, HT, AX, AXJ, FN, RN

Hawk is the sire or grandsire of the smooth kids pictured above.
Thanks to Al and Toby Shafran for letting us bring him from California to Florida. Hawk is equally at home flat on his back on the couch, protecting the homestead from bogeymen, romping through an agility course or bossing sheep around.

 Ch. Foxfire Best Undressed, NAJ

Lark is from our first smooth litter. She finished her championship at just 10 months with two specialty majors. She is Chloe and Raven's big sister, by Ch. Talans Rtwo AX, AXJ, FN, RN ex Bradfords Foxfire Intensity, NA, OJP.
Lark is also the cover dog for the novel Silent Witness, Agility Suspense Unleashed!

Bradfords Foxfire Intensity, NA, OJP

Jetta is the mother of Ch. Foxfire Best Undressed, NAJ, Ch. Foxfire Surprise Party, and Foxfire Velocity, NAP. She is the grandmother of Ch. Stornoway Makin' Waves and Ch. Stornoway Wild Abandon. We thank Lloyd and Suzanne Steiner of Milwaukee for allowing us to bring her into our home. Our happy little ray of black sunshine has been a constant source of joy in our family.

Ch. Oak Leaf Just Between Friends

By Ch. DeaHaven's Memory Maker ex Ch.Twin Acres Good Night Gracie, will be bred to our Ch. Foxfire Best Undressed, NAJ.  Beni is owned by Leena Knowlton, and was bred by David  and Debbie Matthews.
Beni is the sire of our latest litter of roughs and smooths. The dam is our Chloe, Ch. Foxfire Surprise Party.

Foxfire Fancy That, NAP, NJP, by Ch. Oakleaf Just Between Friends ex Ch. Foxfire Surprise Party. Fancy is our busy girl who loves to get into stuff. Fortunately, she loves dog shows, too, and has so far acquired 10 points including a major. She's starring in agility training, and loves the clicker and cookies. We have bred her to Ch. Sylvan Argent Pumped Up Kicks, and exepct stellar blues and tris, rough and smooth, in May!

We co-own Foxfire Fair Winds, or Trooper, with Janet Morley. He is just starting his show career. At the Greater Jacksonville Collie Specialty, at barely six months of age, he took a reserve to a major under Maralyn Busse. With limited showing, he now has 5 points, and took a Best of Variety over a special.

We co-own Foxfire Between Tea Parties with Leena Knowlton., who also owns his sire. He has been winning the puppy class consistently, and we expect great things when he grows up!

Ch. Foxfire Bradfords Inferno, owned by Lloyd and Suzanne Steiner of Milwaukee, finished in a blaze of glory at a specialty show up in the frozen north. He hasn't turned into a pupcycle yet, for which we're grateful! His daughter is also pointed!
